Club - African Student Organization

Northeastern’s African Student Organization (NASO) is the University’s only student group that encompasses all countries on the African continent and strives to represent all of the diverse cultures that live within it. We work to provide a home away from home for Northeastern’s African community, as well as those interested in the culture and Africa’s present-day struggles; while promoting the celebration of the similarities with each country’s culture rather than their differences. NASO hosts a broad range of events from Battle of the ASO’s to Africa Night which showcase African dance, music and fashion. We also hold educational events such as No Face No Race which encourages the Northeastern community to educate themselves on the HIV/AIDS epidemic. NASO works hard to educate the Northeastern community and bring a piece of African culture to campus.
