Daniel Beyman, SSH ’13
I chose Northeastern because I fell in love with the campus, and I was attracted to the idea of meeting people from different backgrounds and countries. What I enjoyed most was that graduating in five years is the norm. If I were graduating in four, I don’t know if I would have been able to have done two pretty different co-ops, which taught me about myself and my professional interests. Plus, I matured so much as a person during that fifth year of class!
My fondest memory was a Dialogue of Civilizations in Israel in 2010. Being around people from different religious backgrounds, regions of America, and countries opened my eyes up to new perspectives. I think I grew more in this one month than any other time in college, and we had a blast every single day.
I give back because I understand how much good can come out of the annual fund. I want the student body to have even better opportunities today than when I was a student!
