11/10/17 - BOSTON, MA. - Northeastern University on Friday Nov. 10, 2016 held its annual Veterans Day ceremony to honor past and present members of the university community who have served their country. Remarks were given by: Paul Scherlek, President, Northeastern Student Veterans Organization, Major Joseph Luchetta, NUROTC Professor of Military Science, Francisco Urena, Secretary of the Massachusetts Department of Veterans’ Services, Lieutenant General L. Scott Rice, Director, U.S. Air National Guard, and Northeastern University President Joseph Aoun.
Northeastern’s Dolce Center for the Advancement of Veterans and Servicemembers (CAVS) supports veterans, current servicemembers, and military-affiliated spouses enrolled at Northeastern University. Initiatives and areas of support include organizing and hosting community building events, networking receptions, and upskilling workshops. Dolce CAVS also provides career assistance and access to scholarships for veterans and servicemembers who may not qualify for the Yellow Ribbon Program.
