Initiatives and areas of support include organizing and hosting events to inform eligible students about the programming offered at CAVS; organizing and hosting networking events for CAVS members and veterans who are already in the workforce; assisting CAVS members with travel and other expenses related to their job search; hiring part-time tutors to assist CA VS members in topics such as math, writing, and the sciences; providing scholarships for veterans and service members who may not qualify for the Yellow Ribbon Program; and hiring staff to liaise between employer partners who are interested in hiring veterans and the CAVS participants.
