Reef Renewal Fund

The purpose of the fund is to support the research of Professor Steven Vollmer. The fund may be used for such expenses related to advancing the ongoing collaboration between Northeastern and the Reef Renewal International on genetically identifying thermal tolerant super corals for use in selective breeding restoration efforts. The fund will be administered by the dean of the College of Science (or any successor thereof), or their designee. Should all of the funding not be able to be spent as outlined above, the dean of the College of Sciences, or their designee, will direct any unspent money to another form of research support in as similar a field as possible.
