South Korean Initiative Fund

Soojin and Ji Hong Min, parents of Henry, College of Science class of 2026, generously pledged $100,000 in their son’s second year to establish the South Korean Initiative Fund benefitting Korean studies and programming at Northeastern.

The fund will be administered by the dean of CSSH in consultation with the director of the Asian Studies Program. The fund may be used for expenses that include but are not limited to: expenses related to general programming and/or research being conducted by undergraduate, graduate students, or faculty at Northeastern, in or related to South Korea. Additionally, this fund may be used to support the hiring of faculty with expertise in South Korea. This may include but is not limited to post-doctoral, adjunct, and tenure track faculty.
