Department of Applied Psychology Fund
Our department is dedicated to advancing mental health and well-being across the lifespan through innovative research, transformative teaching, and compassionate mentoring. Grounded in an ecological model and centered on social justice, our work addresses the complex needs of individuals and communities within culturally diverse urban and global contexts. We lead efforts to expand access to effective prevention programs that reduce risk behaviors in youth, strengthen families and relationships, and refine the accuracy of mental health diagnoses. Our faculty are committed to reducing suicidality and protracted grief, promoting social connectedness among society’s most vulnerable, and leveraging technology to enhance the evaluation and treatment of diverse patient populations. Our mission also extends to supporting students with mental health and learning needs in schools and educational systems. These priorities are embedded in every aspect of our work—from field training to coursework—across our master’s, doctoral, and certificate-level graduate programs. With your support, we are shaping the next generation of mental health professionals and building a more just, connected, and healthier world.
Donations will be directed to support student clinical training that addresses the mental health needs of children, adolescents, families, and adults in our surrounding communities—helping us build a more just, connected, and healthier future for all.
