Dean Ella Robertson Memorial Scholarship

Dean Ella Robertson-Twitty was Black Girl Magic, Black Excellence, and Black Lives Matter all rolled into one amazing woman! There is no one more deserving of being celebrated and having her legacy live on for generations to come. Dean Ella’s keen instinct and perception were gifts she shared with the masses of students seeking her wisdom. She was a “mother” to us all, a fierce advocate for students, and surprisingly intuitive! Her presence in the Ell Center was like our very own lighthouse; we all knew where to go for authentic insight and help! A woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she exuded “high moral and ethical standards” and “service to all mankind” that inspired years of women to seek membership to the Illustrious Iota Gamma Chapter, Northeastern University!
