Rowan Justice Fund
This fund honors the career and impact of Professor Emeritus James Rowan, who taught, mentored and inspired thousands of Northeastern Law students as head of the clinical programs and as director of the Poverty Law and Practice Clinic.
Countless clients and numerous organizations benefitted from Professor Rowan’s expertise, advocacy and compassion during his extraordinary service to our clinical program, the community, the legal profession and to the underrepresented.
This fund will support nonpaying or low paying public interest co-ops that focus on one or more issues that impact access to justice issues, including, but not limited to, recognition of a legal matter; comprehension of the resolution process; and timely access to cost-effective, competent representation.
