Professor Arvin Grabel Memorial Scholarship

This fund was established in memory of longtime Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor, Arvin Grabel. During his 30+ year tenure at Northeastern, Professor Grabel won university-wide recognition for his commitment to teaching and pioneered interdisciplinary education and long-distance learning initiatives. His lifetime commitment to civic engagement shaped his experiences from early protests of the Vietnam War to his longtime membership on the Newton Citizens Commission on Energy.

This fund will provide scholarship support to electrical engineering students who meet at least one of the following criteria:

  1. They are first-generation college students.
  2. They are serving the University community.
  3. They are forging meaningful connections between engineering and another field through their research.
