Club - Interdisciplinary Women’s Collaborative

The Northeastern University Interdisciplinary Women’s Collaborative, or IWC, is the first body on the Northeastern campus that seeks to bring together campus organizations that center women to facilitate the communication and promotion of women’s empowerment initiatives and events. The collaborative, at its core, is a means for all individuals and campus clubs to benefit from the resources, knowledge, events, and practices that have helped propel some of Northeastern’s largest organizations to success. Too often, the biggest barrier to female empowerment is a lack of communication between those who support female empowerment. We believe that every organization on campus that has demonstrated a commitment to gender equality should have the ability to learn how to succeed as a club at Northeastern firsthand from those who have already done it. The council will be the primary body from which the university hosts campus-wide, interdisciplinary events for all members of the Northeastern community such as an annual International Women’s Day Celebration. The organization welcomes all students interested in its mission.
