Paul E. Hirshson Byline Scholarship Fund
This fund was established in 1991 by Roberta Star Hirshson in loving memory of her husband Paul E. Hirshson, LA ’63. Paul was a longtime editor and reporter for the Boston Globe. He covered Cambridge and its residents with a sense of fairness and respect. Ultimately the City of Cambridge named a public square in his honor in 1992. The fund will provide financial aid through annual awards to worthy undergraduate or graduate students in the School of Journalism who have demonstrated financial need, academic achievement, and a concern for professional ethics.
