Dr. Rajesh Y. Pendurkar, ME ’93
When I applied to Northeastern, I was fascinated by the computer systems engineering program because it offered interdisciplinary coursework while remaining focused on software design. In school, I tutored students with disabilities in Snell Library, which was very memorable and rewarding. I was also very active in the Indian Student Organization, and also trained for marathon.
My Northeastern graduate experience, especially encouraging faculty, rigorous curriculum, most importantly applying classroom learning in practice using co-op, built the solid foundation to do applied research. It has been a very crucial factor in my professional career as computer design scientist. I always believed I can make a difference and wanted to give back to the College of Engineering to help new students achieve their goals.
