CCIS Collaborates Lab Fund
The College of Computer & Information Science will be undergoing a major renovation to its computational lab and surrounding hallway and conference room space on the first floor of West Village H to respond to the rapid increase in student enrollments. The College is taking proactive steps to ensure that students receive first-rate instruction and have ample space for studying, tutoring, and group project discussion. The new lab design will adapt to the college’s paired programming pedagogy and will increase the seating capacity for one-on-one tutoring; high-top work stations, and group discussion seating. Additional enhancements to the first floor include dividing two of the current conference rooms surrounding the lab into 4 smaller rooms that will work more efficiently for tutoring needs. 28 high-top stations and 16 soft seats with power and usb connectivity will be also added to the surrounding lobby area to provide further space for group discussions. The renovation is expected to be completed by the end of summer 2018.
