    08/06/15 - BOSTON, MA. - Inner-city high school students take their final exam during the Bridge to Calculus program held in Ryder Hall at Northeastern University on August 6, 2015. Bridge to Calculus is a summer math enrichment program at Northeastern that is specifically designed to prepare rising seniors in the inner-city high schools to take calculus in their schools in September; there is an increasing emphasis on preparation for AP calculus. Founded at Northeastern in 1983, Balfour Academy helps Boston Public School students obtain the skills and confidence necessary to succeed in college. To reach this goal, Balfour Academy provides a summer program of enrichment courses to supplement each student’s regular school program.  This fund supports the Academy’s programs and operation.
